IBIS is a revolutionary Industrial Bin Information System. It allows users to actively monitor and track material levels in large-capacity bulk storage bins, tanks, silos and vessels. IBIS gathers bin level information from small, bolt-on sensors that mount to the support structure of the container providing an accurate, non-contact measurement of the level of the materials inside.

Remote Monitoring:
Available outputs are designed to tie into existing PLC systems or remote display devices allowing you to view levels visually. An optional IBIS Modem card allows you to upload your bin level information to the internet, making it available to product handling companies, eliminating the concern associated with poor scheduling of pickup times.

Alarming:
Additional options include pager and email notification, which allow a company or individual to be notified before critical levels are reached, increasing the efficiency of the material handling company, and preventing downtime to the customer caused by unexpected changes in product usage.

IBIS Strain Sensor:
The IBIS Sensor is a bolt-on sensor utilizing strain-gauge technology to monitor the bin level. Unlike similar sensors on the market, the IBIS Sensor uses sophisticated electronics and components which limit temperature drift and temperature changes. It is compensated for use in temperatures between -40C and +50C (-40F to 122F) allowing use in various conditions and climates found worldwide. Its simple bolt-on design makes installation quick and easy.

Bin level information is made available to the user in various ways allowing you to
monitor or track material levels and usage.

Analog Outputs:
The system comes standard with a 4-20mA Output or an optional 0-5V output to tie
into your existing PLC system

Remote Monitoring:
An optional IBIS Modem card allows you to have your bin level information uploaded
to the internet where it can be viewed by your web browser. To view a fully-functional demo site site, click here.

Use of the IBIS Modem card also gives you the option of sending emails and digital pages to people when materials reach critical or dangerous levels.

PC Interface:
IBIS has an available PC Interface module allowing you to tie the system into the serial port on a standard computer. With this option, the user is able to have virtually any software designed to do a wide variety of tasks including monitoring and alarming levels, tracking material usage, monitoring flow and trending usage over time. Anything else you can do with a computer, you can probrably do with the PC Interface Module.

With an IBIS System from GLC Controls, you will always know your bin levels at any time whether you are at the bin, somewhere on site, or somewhere else in the world. For more information on this product, contact us at the address below.
